Mental Health and The Joker
extremely intelligent, unpredictable, and “?Crazy?” That last point is one I've wondered about. People close to me found my opinion in this topic laughable, and when putting the question to others they would smile then pause as they thought about it. So I figured it might make a good topic to put to all of you. Now i realize were talking about a fictional character. But try and think about if a man like this really existed, and what it means to be mentally insane or have a level of intelligence beyond conventional understanding.
In the Batman universe The Joker has never accurately been diagnosed with any specific mental condition. Implied in his stories, he simply acts out a different psychosis during each psychological evaluation given to him making it next to impossible to accurately diagnose his condition. "ACTING!" any one can pretend to have a mental condition, it doesn't mean they actually do, and if you are fooling several Doctors trained to recognize said conditions, you are either super smart and can put on that convincing a performance, or your doctors got their degree from a cracker jakes box.
The Joker makes instigating chaos and messing with people psychologically a personal hobby. Human casualties are merely collateral damage. The ineresting fact is some one who is mentaly unstable, at some point fails because of his mental condition. The Joker has only ever failed due to miss-calculation, not because he went streaking through city hall ranting incoherently. In my opinion the worst kind of monster is the one that's smarter than the best of us, only "PRETENDS" that he has a mental problem, knows he's evil, and enjoys it.
This paints The Joker as the true monster he is, which is what makes this villain so interesting to me. And that's the question, Does being intelligent having a love for chaos and being “Evil” make you crazy or mentally unstable? (And yes I know many of our geniuses throughout history have been.) Or maybe a better way to word it is, Can you have the above characteristics and still be sane?

Mars!, NASA!, and the Government Oh My!
Let’s say that there were signs of life on Mars. “And I don’t mean micro organisms.” Let’s say that NASA has actually found evidence of an enchant civilization. And note I didn’t say “alien civilization” either. But that’s Theory for another time. Now from a governments stand point, what do you think would happen if word got out that there was indication of sentient life on Mars, be it long since dead. I don’t like taking the side of the government, “but really” we as a society are still not ready to know things like this. And for good reason. The government may like having some control over us, but we never think for one min that we like/need that control.
Sake of argument; Pyramids are found on Mars. And not just pyramids, temples, even cities. All in ruin but a still an undeniable signs of intelligence other than our own. Now what happens here back on earth when a discovery like that is made. You would like think that we have progressed enough to accept information like this on a global scale. However when it really comes down to it. Too many of us are still going to panic, too many of us are going to punish none believers, and too many of us are going to kill our selves because they think there spirits are going to be carried off to that temple on the red planet.
I believe that our evolution is taking us down the right path to a day where we can know things like this. But we are also still on enough of an edge that (should such facts exist) would unravel our way of life. I think our way of life is pretty good, and we definitely take it for granted. A lot of us think big brother is out to get each of us. And I really wonder if those people are thinking about the grand reproductions we’ll suffer if something like that get’s out.
I hope I’m making you think a little and I’de love to hear your thoughts.

Jesus and SuperMan
So how does Jesus and Superman relate. Well in my opinion! you can classify both as Superhero's. Granted Jesus is based on an actual person, but they both share the same mythical super human persona. Apart from one being a fictional character, really the only thing that separates these two is the lack of historical record being kept over the ages. Think about it! “Using words from his time frame.” What would you get if Jesus could leap over the Pantheon in a single bound, Or being faster then a speeding arrow. Neither one of those is that far off from walking on water or healing the sick with his touch. Sounds like a “FICTIONAL” superhero to me. Witch is all he likely was in that day and age. There's nothing wrong with a good story. Even 2000 years ago. The problem is these fictional stories found there way in to our history books, when documenting our history was not at it's best. Thusly fiction tended to become miracles or blessings from god. And has now led to today's miss interpreted views of who or what he is/was.
Had these been stories about Clark Kent performing unbelievable feet's of virtue, we might today look on superman with the same passion as the messire. And “yes” it would still be the wrong interpretation. Some where along the line we've lost sight, “or never had” the ability to think beyond what is told to us. Not thinking for one minuet that the information could have been retold, chopped up, sugar coated, or just plan lost to the ages.
Remember Jesus was a man who likely was an all around good guy who liked helping his fellow man. And these stories just got alittle out of hand. Making the man alittle more than what he was. Don't tell me that none of you have never colored one of your stories making it sound alittle better then it was. Hell half the time your friends will do it for you, adding a word or two that you never actually said. Now pass that through 2000 years and a few trillion people and that simple little story has become some thing completely different, only having flavor of the original. We as a species are very good at doing this. And the stories of one man fall prey to the same miss interpretations as a game of telephone.

Introductions
If you've enjoyed the show Penn and Tellers Bull Shit and not have it upset you, then your welcome to speak your mind on the weekly post. As such each week there will be a poll on 3 topics. Namely a Theory, an Opinion, and a Rant. You the reader will have the opportunity to cast your vote for the next weeks topic.
There's no harm in any one of those categories crossing over each other after they've started. If a Rant leads into a Theoretical debate that's OK. Later! myself and hopefully any one who wants to join me, I plan to put on a Pod Cast or You Tube show based on that weeks winning topic. There are a few topics I'd like to avoid as we could go into them almost forever or they just don't have a place in this site, unless they affect the general public on a grand and immediate scale. Specifically Politics, sex, and I'd like to steer clear of conspiracy theories but I'm not going to flat out say "No!" on that one. "Just try and keep it real."
So lets get started.
Just a heads up. I'm still fine tuning this site. Please be aware that there will be changes to it's structure and it's guide lines.
